It's great to spend a few days in Christchurch to learn about New Zealand's regional history and geography. If you are getting off the long flight and venturing further afield in New Zealand, you should spend at least a day or two in Auckland exploring the vibrant metropolis. Driving on the well-maintained roads of New Zealand is a great way to explore this area And it is ideal for hiking and cycling.
